JoSAA 2018 Important Dates [ Key Dates ]

JoSAA 2018 Important Dates: Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be conducting a combined online JEE 2018 counselling. The JEE counselling used to be conducted separately by JAB and CSAB at their own individual level till 2015. They are united now. JoSAA was formed for the main reason to make available a common platform for counselling for the engineering students and to suppress reservation of multiple seats in colleges. By June 2018, the JEE advanced 2016 ranks will be announced and JEE Main 2018 ranks are announced in June 2018.

JoSAA 2018 Important Dates

The candidates will be eligible to apply in IITs ( Indian Institutes of Technology) and ISM (Indian School of Mines) on the basis of ranks secured in JEE Advanced 2018. It is to be noted that JEE Main 2018 ranks will be required for seeking admission into IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), NITs ( National Institute of Technology) and various other technical institutes which are funded partially or fully by Central or State government (Other CFTIs).

Important Dates of JoSSA 2018

JEE (Advanced) Airs will be declared by JAB 10 June 2018
JEE(Main) AIR will be declared by Joint Apex Board 30 April 2018
Commencement of filling up of choices of academic programs in participating institutes 15 June 2018
Mock seat allocation based on choices filled in by candidates will be displayed on 19 June 2018 {1st mock allocation}

24 June 2018 {2nd mock allocation}

NIC- Reconcile data and allocate seats, nits/iits – verification and validation  25 June 2018
Seat allocation (first round) 27 June 2018
Acceptance of seat(first round) 28 June 2018 – 2 July 2018 (5 days)
Display of filled seats and the availability status 3 July 2018
Seat allocation(second round) 3 July 2018
Acceptance of seat (second round) 4 July 2018 – 5 July 2018 (2 days)
The display of filled seats and the availability status 6 July 2018
Seat allocation(third round) 6 July 2018
Acceptance of seat (third round) 7 July 2018 –8 July 2018 (2 days)
The academic sessions at iits and ISM begins on  July 2018 onwards
Seat allocation for various preparatory courses (iits and ISM) and seat allocation (Fourth round) (nits, iiits and other gftis)  July 2018
The seat acceptance of preparatory course ( IIT and ISM) and fourth round of acceptance of seats (nits,iiits and other gifts)  July 2018
The beginning of preparatory courses at iits and ISM and academic sessions at nits,iiits and gftis begin on July 2018
